Cimino & Associati Private Equity S.p.A. ("Cape"): with its system of funds is the first italian operator in private equity for small and medium companies, investing equity mainly through growth capital operations. Cape activity starts in 1999, when Simone Cimino, becomes advisor of the fund Capeq.
Cape organization now is made up of 40 professionals, including the teams of Cape Regione Siciliana SpA, Cape Listed Investment Vehicle in Equity SpA, Cape China and Cape India.
Through its network of local investors, Cape benefits from an extremely full and varied deal flow in terms of investment opportunities. In particular, this network includes several entrepreneurs, players of Italian private equity and bank world. This source of local connections has allowed Cape to negotiate the acquisition of companies with exclusive trade rights based on very interesting prices, instead taking part of auctions.
Cape covers now about 500 million euro in administrated assets, of which the 80% is already invested. The average IRR, certified by external auditor, has overcome the medium range of the market. Overall, today the companies owned by the Cape Funds reach a turnover of 1.1 billion euro, thanks to the work of the approximately 7,000 employees.
Cape is the only one to have listed 4 (+ 2 as sponsor) companies (3 operations in 3 years) and 2 bonds.
